Asphalt Contractors, Inc. is hiring a Traveling Operator / Laborer to support asphalt and concrete projects across the continental United States. This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate equipment and also assist with general labor as needed. This position involves frequent and sometimes extended travel as part of a mobile crew.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment including skid steers, excavators, rollers, and other construction equipment

• Assist with asphalt paving, concrete work, grading, site preparation, and cleanup

• Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance issues

• Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials

• Work closely with crew members to keep projects on schedule

• Follow all safety requirements and company policies

• Travel with crews to job sites anywhere in the lower 48 states, including overnight and multi-week assignments

Requirements

• Experience operating skid steers and excavators

• Construction experience in asphalt, concrete, or site work

• Willingness to perform both operator and general labor tasks

• Ability to travel nationwide for extended periods of time

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to work long hours, early starts, and variable schedules

• Ability to lift, shovel, rake, and work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team

Preferred, Not Required

• CDL or experience hauling equipment

• Experience operating additional equipment such as pavers, rollers, or loaders

• Previous traveling construction experience
