Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee all field operations within our Paving Division, including two paving crews, our milling crew, grading crew, and asphalt maintenance division. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, hands-on leader, and strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations across paving, milling, grading, and asphalt maintenance crews.
Plan, coordinate, and schedule projects and personnel to optimize productivity and resource use.
Lead, mentor, and develop field supervisors and foremen to promote accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
Work closely with estimating, project management, and plant operations to ensure efficient job preparation and execution.
Monitor project performance, job costs, and production targets, implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure safety, quality, and environmental compliance on all job sites.
Communicate effectively with internal departments, clients, and subcontractors to maintain strong relationships and resolve issues promptly.
Contribute to strategic planning for division growth, equipment needs, and process improvements.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in asphalt paving operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong understanding of paving, grading, and asphalt maintenance processes, equipment, and best practices.
Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and crews simultaneously.
Proficiency with construction management software, project scheduling, and reporting tools.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
