Position Overview
We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead and grow our sales and estimating operations. This role will oversee our project managers, estimators, and sales team to ensure strong communication, accurate estimating, and profitable project execution.
The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, a leader who can manage people, processes, and performance. This position requires a deep understanding of construction sales cycles, estimating, and project management, with the ability to drive results across multiple divisions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the sales department, including project managers, estimators, and sales representatives.
Develop sales goals, forecasting, and performance metrics to align with company objectives.
Oversee bid strategies, proposal development, and project estimates to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
Collaborate closely with Operations and Accounting to monitor project profitability and client satisfaction.
Train and mentor staff to strengthen estimating accuracy, customer relations, and overall sales performance.
Drive new business development and maintain relationships with key clients, general contractors, and municipalities.
Ensure timely follow-up on proposals, change orders, and contracts.
Support the team in understanding company capabilities across paving, concrete, maintenance, grading, and milling divisions.
Qualifications
Proven leadership experience in construction sales, estimating, or project management (asphalt, concrete, or related industries preferred).
Strong financial acumen and ability to understand job costing and profitability.
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with construction estimating or CRM software a plus.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
